Memory Verse:
It is very interesting to note that the Bible never gave a clear indication as to what the presence of God (the Holy Spirit) feels like, and there are no scriptures that begin by saying “…The Holy Spirit’s presence feels like ….” However, throughout the course of scriptures you can find what He may be described as when His presence is manifested. It should be noted though that the Holy Spirit’s presence feels like different sensations to different people. What matters then is not how it feels but who He is and what He does.
The absence or ignorance of the workings of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life renders him a mere religious fellow, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof……” (2 Tim 3:5a).
The Holy Spirit is not just a spirit from God; He is THE Spirit of God (i.e. God is the Spirit): He is the One who helps us to understand the Word of God for it cannot be interpreted by human mind. The Word of God is God Himself (John 1:1). When you are opening a part of the Bible, you are opening a facet of God, in that, every Book of the Bible carries a dimension of God. What therefore the presence of God does, is to give understanding of Him (God) to such a one.
Therefore, when you begin to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and court His presence, Christianity becomes a lifestyle and not a religion.
